The fifteen interpretive signs along the trail will take walkers back to the Belle Époque of the village of Le Pont.
For a better understanding of the history of the village of Le Pont, just follow the lady with the umbrella. Her elegant silhouette characterizes the signs indicating the direction to follow the Belle Époque theme trail. This promenade of a half a dozen kilometres will take walkers from the train station at the foot of the Dent de Vaulion, near the Lac de Joux Grand Hôtel and the Hautes-Roches manor house.
Each stop will give walkers a deeper understanding of what life was like in the village at the beginning of the twentieth century; of its history of cheese production, of Tell Rochat’s paintings and of the story behind the local architecture.
