Tête du Lac is where the River Orbe flows into the Lac de Joux, near the villages of Le Sentier and L’Orient.
Well known by the Vaudois, the River Orbe flows into the Lac de Joux at the "Tête du Lac". This peaceful place attracts nature lovers in search of its relaxing effects. Overlooked by La Dent de Vaulion, the sight of which adds splendour to the surrounding landscape, walkers cross this preserved corner of nature with respect.
From the district of La Golisse, the Tête du Lac trail provides the perfect opportunity to walk and look at the fauna and flora. The marked trail, with its explanatory signs, passes through marshes and forests following an easy, flat route that can be walked in about an hour. On arrival, a small wooden hut lets you watch the small world of the waterfowl.
