19km - 450m ascent - Mountain bike and gravel
Route provisionally signposted as part of the Fight the Crab charity event!
Depart from the Lac de Joux ski lift car park for a leisurely warm-up along the lake to the village of Le Pont.
The first ascent takes you to the heights of the village, to the foot of the Dent de Vaulion, then to Pétra Felix and finally to the Col du Mollendruz.
The highest point of the route is a few kilometres further on, near the Buvette de Châtel, on the Pré de l'Haut Dessous mountain pasture.
From here, part of the route follows the SuisseMobile 996 route to Les Croisettes.
The route then follows the tarmac road for the first part of the final descent.
After around 2km, there is a short stretch of tarmac road through the forest before rejoining the road just below Les Ermitages and staying on it all the way back to the starting point.
